Remember when I mentioned the 30 miniature horses that my sister is housing?

Well, they have started foaling.

pony boyThis little guy was born about a week ago. The girl next to him is 7, so you can judge his size. He was 20 pounds at birth.

Girl is very anxious for us to find time to drive over and see them.  But I’m not sure when that’ll work out.
pony girl This little filly was born today. Isn’t she adoreable?

movie meme

Posted in Meme at 12:18 am by Meg

This has been floating around and I decided to go ahead and do it.
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times. um, Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz (growing up we watched it on TV every year), Space Balls (listened to at least while I drove and the kids’ watched). There’s probably some more, but I’m drawing a blank

2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater. Star Wars is probably it.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie. Nicholas Cage, Pierce Brosnan I guess
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie. Mel Gibson
5. Name a movie that you can quote from. Space Balls, Princess Bride, some of the Star Wars

6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs. Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof, Wizard of Oz

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with. Everything from # 6 and then some.
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see. Mad City - why? Because Hubby is in it!
9. Name a movie that you own. Mad City
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops. Drawing a blank
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? Many, many times. One of my friends in highschool worked at the local drive-in. We’d get in free by saying that we were visiting him and then hang out and talk.
12. Ever made out in a movie? yes.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t gotten around to it. drawing a blank
14. Ever walked out of a movie? yep, Rambo.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater. I can’t, because (as Hubby will tell you) I cry at just about any emotional scene. I never remember to bring tissues either.

16. Popcorn? I’ll nibble on yours if you’ll let me
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)? 2 to 4 times a month
18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater? Blades of Glory
19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie? Just about anything, but horror - that I’d rather read and let my imagine do it’s job.
20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater? WestSide Story - I don’t know how old I was, but no one had explained previews to me. The movie started with a preview of Summer of 42 and I spent years trying to figure out how that tied into the movie until I realized that it was a different movie.
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen? Apocalypse Now I was about 16 and my father wanted to see it. I don’t know why he insisted that I go, but I hated every moment of it and have the worst images stuck in my head.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed? Hard to say, may The Ring.

23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen? No idea
24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen? Bridget Jones’ Dairy. My friend, A, and I laughed and laughed.
