I saw this on JediMomma, and it seemed like fun.
When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter?
A small entranceway ( maybe 6 x 10 ft.) with doors leading to a) the kitchen and b) the hallway back to the bedrooms and the other end opens into the livingroom.
Do you have a dishwasher?
Yup.
Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors?
carpeted
Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer?
On the counter where they are handy

House
How many bedrooms is it?
Four - though the last room is used as a guest room when needed and is usually called the Book Room. One of the kids called it the library today and sent the other into stitches.
Gas stove or electric?
Umm, I have a gas cooktop and an electric oven built into the wall.
Do you have a yard?
yep, the lot’s about 3/4 of an acre.
What size TV is in the living room?
maybe 23 in.? The big one is in Hubby’s den
Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups?
Our everyday stuff? no. But the set of china that I inherited from my mother is with the china tea cups that go with it.
Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter?
No, but then we don’t drink coffee in this house. I do have a tiny little coffee maker sitting buried in a cupboard though
What room is your computer in?
My computer is in the Long Room (sort of a family room off the livingroom area), so is Girl’s. Boy’s laptop floats, but mostly it’s in the Book Room (which we have been teasing him is his second bedroom these days)
Are there pictures hanging in your living room?
One wall of the living room is limestone, another is all windows, a third wall is half missing because it opens into the Long Room. On the little space that leaves we have a painting of the house I grew up in done by Step-Mom’s mother for our wedding, a small painting of the barn that goes with the house done for my Mom by one of her friends, and a print of a drawing of a falling down barn that I bought at a street fair. We do have a family picture sitting on the back of the piano!
Are there any themes found in your home?
Eclectic! though the kitchen is full of apple stuff.
What kind of laundry detergent do you use?
Anything scent and dye free for Girl’s skin
Do you use dryer sheets?
Yes
Do you have any curtains in your home?
Some. The windows in the livingroom just have a valence, the kids have blinds, there are half curtains (can’t remember the term) in the kitchen, and Hubby’s den and our bedroom have curtains.
What color is your fridge?
White - no choice for the model I wanted

What room is the most neglected?

Are the dishes in your sink/dishwasher clean or dirty?
Sink - dirty, dishwasher is empty because I hassled Boy to unload it before dinner
How long have you lived in your home?
8 years, 3 months, and about 8 days

Do you have one of those fluffy toilet lid covers on your toilet?

Do you have a scale anywhere in your house?
Food scale in kitchen, and a human scale in the master bath, oh and a 3 arm balance in the school supplies.
How many mirrors are in your house?
one in each bathroom and one in each bedroom - 7

Do you have a garage?
Yes, but good luck driving a car into it! There’s a two car garage back behind the house with no drive or anything going to it. So it’s storage space and not much else. Of course since there’s no basement or crawl space, storage space is a very good thing to have.
