Whee!!

Posted in Life, the Universe and All that Jazz at 12:01 am by Meg

Can you tell I’m excited? - NOT

I don’t know why, but I’ve always had trouble dealing with my birthday on the years that end in 5. Not sure why. And this year is running true to form.

Just kind of feeling like I should be doing more. I guess I’m looking ahead to the idea that Girl will be done in 4 years and I have no idea what I want to be doing with myself. And with no real ‘goal,’ I’m not sure how to get there.

For joy.

I’m 45; and unlike when I was 18 - I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up!

I’ve been debating what to be when I grow up as well. I’ve let the folks at work know that they can expect me to move to a different career in the next couple years.

Happy Birthday. I say never grow up — be young at heart forever and always learning, dreaming and going for whatever your heart desires.

Happy Birthday. I’m becoming less and less interested in big goals and more interested in interesting directions. Explore options. Try things. If you like them, do more of them. See where that leads. Have fun. Enjoy it.

Well, it should make you happy that this 42 year old (on Saturday) read and reread that, wondering, “is it 2005? Seriously. What year is it??” Happy birthday, fellow Cancerian!

Did Girl tell you I said Happy Birthday? If not then I’m saying it again only a little later. :D

Happy Birthday! Girl, I’m feeling your pain! My birthday is Friday - I’ll be 38. I’m still scoping out all options for a future career. I’m thinking I should go back to college when my youngest goes. Reminds me of The Goofy Movie. Have you seen that one? Your kids might be just a smidgen older that you missed having to watch that one! Anyhow, Goofy goes to college at the same school his son Max does. Craziness insues, disco dancing, cram sessions, etc…. I can see me now, just hanging out at the dorm parties. HAR!
