Thirty posts in thirty days

Can be done in many ways;

I wrote nearly 40 posts

But they covered twenty-eight days at most.  (which means I didn’t succeed at NaBloPoMo)

In some of the posts, I wrote about

the things we do when we are out;

Other posts had special things

like my father and his flings.

And there was that election

and who might get our school board selection;

And digging through my father’s past

I found some pictures that did last.

And there were a few posts that barely count

because the flow of words did not mount;

But now that we are at the end

I have some closing thoughts to send.

I did enjoy the weekly thankful posts

but the structure required makes them toast;

I did not tap my writing prompts dry

but to keep posting at this rate I will not try.

I have two very busy weeks coming up between my chorus performing (I’m an ELF working in Santa’s mail room!) and three Christmas parties next weekend (two of them here).  In addition to our “normal” and the need to write/mail cards and shop/mail presents. With everything going on, I suspect that regular posting will not be happening quite as intensely as the last few weeks.

Well, I got three comments on my raffle post, and they are the three winners of the free Norton software!

So, Ashley, Michelle, and Alica – I’ll send you an initial email to make sure the email address you gave work, and then I’ll send you the information on how to collect your prize service.

Enjoy!

For the BEST homeschooling conference around.

I’ve been going up to Chicago for this conference for about 5 years, it is absolutely the best conference for the entire family to go to.

Registration information will be available after the first of the year, but the 2009 dates are March 5-7, and right now you can see what last year’s conference offered.

  • Moving Day

    Like my actual home, there’s still some mess to be dealt with and some things I’m not going to bother with.
    (I have a tendency to link to past posts and those links didn’t change to the new blog. I’m not going to go back through 800 plus posts to correct them all.)

  • Merry What-ever you want.

    We are in the new house and scrambling to make cooking a possibility.  Hubby is working hard as a cart-horse.
    I wanted to take 5 mins. to point anyone who hasn’t seen it yet to go read both Garrison Keillor’s attack against non-Christians celebrating Christmas and while I’ve seen a few responses, I appreciate Friendly Atheist’s.

  • I can’t resist

    While sorting and packing like crazy, my husband posted this:

  • Changes

    I’ve been talking about our real-life changes and with moving and all I suspect that that I’ll be fairly quiet for the next couple of weeks.
    But I’m also considering a virtual move.  Ron and Andrea have been wonderful, but for a couple of reasons I’m contemplating moving my blog to another site.
    I’ve been kicking it [...]

  • Good Morning!!!

    Remember last month when I said that Parts of our Town need to wake up?
    In my running around this morning, I went past that church.
    Now I don’t know what they have had on their sign for the last 4 weeks.
    And I don’t know the context that this is coming from.
    And I didn’t have a chance [...]
