The ‘09 version – Thanksgiving …Thanks III

For parts I and II follow the links.

Well, better late than to drop it, right?

1. Last year I was thankful to be finished going through all of Dad’s papers and pictures.  This year as I’m looking at us moving into a new home, I’m thankful that while Hubby and I are packrats, we are able to thin our ’stuff’ down to a more manageable amount (I hope.)

2. Last year I was thankful that Boy would be home a week after it posted, well… with my delay this week, I’m thankful that he’ll be home in just a few days.

3. Last year I was thankful that Girl thought nothing of ‘playing’ with her mother.  This year I’m thankful that we have a good relationship.

4. Last year I was thankful of the generosity of my mother in law. This year I am still thankful for her, but it’s her support and knowledge that I’m currently appreciating.

5. Last year I was thankful for Hubby’s understanding.  I still am, though these days it tends to be his understanding that I’m trying to mentally work out our moving next month.

Come back next week for the final 5.

I wanted to take 5 mins. to point anyone who hasn’t seen it yet to go read both Garrison Keillor’s attack against non-Christians celebrating Christmas and while I’ve seen a few responses, I appreciate Friendly Atheist’s.

  • Changes

I’ve been talking about our real-life changes and with moving and all I suspect that that I’ll be fairly quiet for the next couple of weeks.
But I’m also considering a virtual move.  Ron and Andrea have been wonderful, but for a couple of reasons I’m contemplating moving my blog to another site.
    I’ve been kicking it [...]

  • Good Morning!!!

Remember last month when I said that Parts of our Town need to wake up?
In my running around this morning, I went past that church.
Now I don’t know what they have had on their sign for the last 4 weeks.
And I don’t know the context that this is coming from.
    And I didn’t have a chance [...]
